Have you ever watched a flame?

It's always changing, never

content to stay the same.

Our world is like a flame: it

is always moving, changing,

steadily turning itself upside-down.

You can try to stop it, you

can try to change this pattern

of change, but it remains.

Nearly everything changes,

like years,

        people,

            love,

                schools,

                    friendships,

                        weather,

                            emotions,

                                jobs,

                                    answers,

                                        life.

But through this blaze of change, there

are two things I can always

count on:

The sun will always rise in the morning,

and

Jess will always have ice in Algebra class.
