There you will find out more information about irises, and specifically what works best in the your climate. Local societies are also a good way to meet people who share a similar interest in irises.

The American Iris Society is an invaluable source of information pertaining to irises. Membership provides you with a subscription to the Societies' quarterly publication, The Bulletin Of The American Iris Society. It includes scientific articles, cultural information, pictures, and much more.
