BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The reader will notice first that Creature Chronicles is not just about Cryptozoology events: the study of hidden animals. I have also encompassed the subject of Wildlife Phenomena: A term that deals with animal oddities, such as out-of-place animals and bizarre events that occur when animals have an unexpected impact on the environment. In some instances, this news has no real research purposes, except to show us how strange this planet really is. Other issues merit further study, such as the alligators which seem to be fighting the progress of man.
When we released Creature Chronicles #1 in 1980, it was basically a newsletter on Bigfoot, although we still investigate this phenomena. It is difficult to write about since so many cases have been mauled over time and again.
Since I have always been interested in Cryptozoology and the wonders of wildlife, I think its only fitting to combined the two. After all, if known animals impact us on an unusual basis, isn't that a phenomena?
It is not my intent to be like those TV series that deal with animals doing odd things on video. I am not interested if Joe's dog can play third base, or if Sally's cat can use the toilet. But, if you drive down the highway and see an elephant or if a bear talks to you, please let us know. To the dedicated Cryptozoologist: Do not be alarmed. We still plan on covering these events as long as the flow of information crosses our desk. We still have a keen interest in the sasquatch, lake monsters, strange creatures, etc., even though I freely admit that it will be on a skeptical basis. You could say that I am interested in the reports; not necessarily the creatures themselves.
All previous hard copies of Creature Chronicles are out-of-print. All articles can be found electronically indexed in the table of contents.
Our research is based on factual investigative methodology rather than rumors and hearsay. All case documentation is prepared by experienced personnel. Any serious researchers wishing to exchange information or to provide links are welcomed to do so. We are always in need of recent news. Please send us any newpaper clippings, articles or cases that you have. Full credit is always given.
