Terry played bouzouki, mandola, and mandolin with "The Gabriel Hounds" from Columbus, Ohio. The band included Deborah Colon, Carl Colon, Terry Blankenship, Brian McCoy & Eddie Cotter, and toured extensively during 1999 and 2000 performing at top Irish venues including;

In 2001 three members of The Gabriel Hounds reformed as The Kells. "The Kells" included Terry Blankenship, Brian McCoy, and Eddie Cotter. They were together about a year and a half and released three CDs; "Collector's Edition Vol 1 & 2" and "Feast of the Archangels" which were all produced by Terry Blankenship. The "Feast Of The Archangels" CD came out on St. Patrick's Day 2002.
