I've been listening to a few of your tracks. I must admit I thought it was a bit
cocky to say you had invented a new genre but I stand corrected - I've never heard
anything like it before! I particularly liked 'Trance World #1', 'Trance World Harmonium'
and 'Sausage' (brilliant title btw). I'll add 'Trance World #1' to silk cuts 2

like kind of a cross between Underworld and 80's futuristic bands like Japan

I spent about a 1/2 hour browsing and reading your site, it looks great. Well
organized and visually pleasing as well. I was really glad to see that you've
been playing out again in the past few years. It's was 10 years ago that I took
lessons from you and you encouraged me to play out again. A year ago I made a CD

John Miley...I came across your site looking for what he might be up to now. I still
remember when he came back from the Crafty workshop--he was so psyched and more excellent
than ever! I used to listen to him, Eddie Glicken, and Norbert Miller in Whitehouse China
and Subject to Change back in the early 80's. I'm sure you're keeping up the Fripp tradition
of excellence in music. BTW, Trey Gunn played and recorded here in Eureka early this year

Folks, there can be no doubt about it -- Mr. Blankenship is *the* man -- the John Shaft 
of music. :-) Take it from someone who knows him well, he can do any kind of music 
(Celtic, Rock and Ambient are just three . . . he's a mean bass player and country player, 
too) and is a heck of a nice guy to boot. Terry's music and its power speak for themselves. 
You can get a few things for free off of MP3.com, but make sure you buy those CDs too. 
I can think of two good reasons to do just that: (1) this kind of support is crucial for 
independent artists like Terry who make music from their hearts and (2) the rest of the 
music on these albums is just as good as the stuff on the site. I've had "Entering the 
Silence" (or, as I like to call it, "Mr. Ice Cream Head" for years, and the MP3s are all 
the evidence that you need that you want the rest, too. Please tell your friends, too.:-)

I like the combination of cyclic melodic structures quickly played, and the
great inspiration you followed with lead guitar. These contrasts create an deep
emotion, a parallel time and space...
Lead guitar has a sense of freedom and truely respect Silence, creativity.
I recognized "progressive" influences of Fripp, Tangerine Dream, and also
Crimson... And the artwork is as interesting as music...
I also discovered the Celtic tunes ; another aspect of your talent !

Terry, I write to ask you if you could give permission for the use of one of
your tracks on an educational CD to be produced for schools and colleges in the
Scottish Borders. I am vice-chairman of JAM, a music outreach charity, and we
have secured funding and made some field recordings. But we would like to show
the kids how well-known Border tunes (Willie came from Jedburgh and his story is
well known here, even where he hid from the law and was finally killed) are done
by innovative musicians round the world. Yours is a cracking example of a
lateral take on something they all know by heart. I could work from a downloaded
mp3, and full credits would be given on the CD and in the (extensive) notes
which will accompany it to schools. I am, by the way, extremely impressed by the
overall page. I was too early to be gothic, my son has to do that one for me,
but not too early to be into folk - and I happen to consider most of Syd
Barrett's material for Floyd to be 'folk' song. Can !
you let me know? If it is possible, I will let you have all the salient details
by email and we would of course send copies of the finished project.
