Donate Financially

It costs approximately $65 to have blood samples tested for the Registry.  We are trying to raise enough money to have 500 people tested at the Cincinnati Bone Marrow Drive.  Visit the link to "Make a Tax-Deductible Donation" to learn more about how you can assist financially.

Donate Blood

In the Cincinnati area, at least 325 donors are needed daily to support patients' needs of the 14 tri-state counties to which Hoxworth supplies blood and blood services.  Approximately 60% of the population is able to donate blood products, yet only 5% do.  Blood donation is safe and easy.

There are eight Hoxworth blood centers in the greater Cincinnati area: Anderson, Blue Ash, Central, Downtown, Ft Mitchell, Ft Thomas, Tri-County and Western Hills.  To schedule an appointment at Hoxworth (Cincinnati area only), call 513-451-0910 or 800-860-1091, or email: hoxapctr@ucmail.uc.edu and give the following information to set up an appointment: name, date of birth, phone number, where you want to donate, date and time of donation.  Visit www.hoxworth.org for more information about blood donation.

Outside of the Cincinnati area, call your local blood center or American Red Cross.  Visit the American Association of Blood Banks to locate a blood center near you.

Other Ways to Help

The NMDP lists other ways in which you may contribute: donate your baby's umbilical cord blood at birth, donate frequent flyer miles, volunteer at your local donor center, and tell your friends and family about the need for donors.
